👍🏻 “on the scales of humanity we all weigh the same” 👌🏼
Although that line made me think - for some humans I would definitely pay more per kg, and there are some I would leave in the shop, their self-decreed high prices on their own weight unfathomable.
Very thought provoking. An excellent question too. Reminds me of discussions I had about this question which The Iliad raises especially. The gods have their human like vices but there are many references in there about why they are different. Human mortality is key to humans getting closer to a level of profound understanding which the gods cannot hope to ever get.
So pertinent in the age of AI. We are alive unlike a machine. But we also experience death. Perhaps this is what separates us from machines and unites all the different human beings on our planet too.
Great stuff. Congrats on a well achieved poem!
Thank you, Pedro!
So moving, Ros and to hear you read it just added so much for me. Thank you for sharing it with us. ❤️
Thank you, Kay. I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Since it was written for performance, it made sense to read it.
The cadence just perfect!
