Pride Challenge: Win Something Money Can't Buy
Yes, really. Not a metaphor. I will send you something collectable.
This is a shortie. Relief! I hear you say. It has been a funny week, and so you get something (your Pride-focused exploratory writing challenge), but I’m not going to give you a preamble of any kind. (The full Seven Deadly Sins Pride post is here if you missed it.)
But I will give you, if you participate, a chance to win something money can’t buy. It has taken me an entire year, but I have finally started unpacking the boxes I brought back from my London office last September after losing my job, and I have too many books (of course I do).
Some of those books cannot legally be sold, so I will give them away: uncorrected proof copies of my second novel, Devotion, which was shortlisted for the Royal Society of Literature’s Encore Award. I am just about to start adapting it (speculatively, I might add) for TV. I have quite a few, and for my archive, I only need one. I’m told that uncorrected proofs are a popular collectable among bibliophiles.
